7 Podcasts to Binge This Summer

There's something about summer that motivates me to find new entertainment -- whether it be movies, books, tv shows, or my new favorite type of content, podcasts. Podcasts are great to listen to when you're driving to work, cooking dinner, or even while getting stuff done at the office. 

If you haven't started listening to podcasts yet, don't worry! We have a great list to start you off, from entertaining listens to episodes that will intrigue and educate. 

1.  Women's Work by Tsh Oxenrider

Women’s Work is a podcast celebrating creative women who do interesting work. From artists and entrepreneurs, to scientists, librarians, journalists, engineers, civil servants, educators, coders, and beyond. Tsh is a great interviewer and each episode teaches me something new!

2. Secrets of Wealthy Women by The Wall Street Journal

Wall Street Journal's Veronica Dagher reveals how women can empower themselves and establish financial and professional stability, which is an important skill to master. She interviews successful women and picks their brain on their secrets to being financially secure.

3. Boss Files with Poppy Harlow by CNN Money

CNN's Poppy Harlow goes beyond the headlines, and the talking points, with the biggest names in business. She has in-depth conversations with the men and women leading global companies -- and those committed to making a positive impact beyond the bottom line.

4. The Nuanced Life by Sarah & Beth

In a world that increasingly defaults to false dichotomies, Sarah and Beth explore the messiness of living wisely —the choices, tradeoffs, priorities, and grace of living a nuanced life. Each episode dives deeper into topics that are incredibly relevant for our day to day lives.

5. Sandra by Gimlet Media

In this drama, a company called Orbital Teledynamics has taken over the personal assistant world with a product called Sandra. Like Siri or Alexa, Sandra (voiced by Kristen Wiig) is meant to help people answer questions, order things, and more, all through a small black cube that people talk to.

Favorite Episode: As a storytelling drama, we can't pick just one! But start from the beginning, you won't regret it. 

6. Everything Happens by Kate Bowler

Life isn’t always bright and shiny, as Kate Bowler knows. Kate is a young mother, writer and professor who, at age 35, was suddenly diagnosed with Stage IV cancer. In, warm, insightful, often funny conversations, Kate talks with people about what they’ve learned in dark times.
