This month we partnered with Women in Bio to deliver a webinar to its members on Uncovering Unconscious Bias. Women in Bio is an “organization of professional women from all career walks in the field of life sciences. We are all volunteers and we all share the goal of enabling and empowering women to reach the highest levels of leadership, and -- more importantly -- to fulfill their own career aspirations.”
In December 2018, Gild Collective facilitated a 2-day program for a cohort of under-represented minority (URM) women at Intel. The participants came from a variety of departments and positions within the organization and many had never met previously. Beyond the action-oriented programming during the session, we organized opportunities for connection and network building to create support networks within the organization.
We focused on the “why” behind the day: applauding all that we have accomplished as we move toward gender parity, and challenging our societies to do more and #PressforProgress.
The group wove these strategy maps into hand-bound journals with intention for 2018, and accountability from the women in the room.
On Thursday, the group created a collaborative vision board, outlining the vision and goals for the WEN chapter in the new year. On Friday, each board member had the opportunity to focus on their own personal vision and goals for 2018, with the creation of a personalized strategy map and a morse code necklace.
Over the course of the day, 100 participants came together to recognize their strengths, build each other up, and create their 2018 vision boards.
This amazing event was jam packed with women on both the agency and client side with a focus on digital media and marketing.
